  • Preformed 3/16" Saw-Cut Loops
    Save up to 45 minutes in installation time per loop vs. wrapping saw-cut loops by hand. These loops have a custom durable polyethylene outer jacket that protects the insulated loop wires....

  • Used for saw-cut installations where a 3/16” or larger groove is cut into the concrete or asphalt and the wire is stuffed and sealed (using loop sealant) into the surface. 

    Our saw-cut loops have a custom durable polyethylene outer jacket that protects nylon coated polyethylene insulated 16AWG stranded wire. BD Loops Saw-Cut Loops have a built in wing shaped backer-rod that causes the loop to fit snugly in a 3/16” saw-cut groove. Our unique wire design prevents the installer from having to install backer-rod and creates a seal at the bottom of the groove, allowing the installer to apply sealant to a flat surface and resulting in at least a 30% savings in loop sealant to seal the groove vs. hand wrapped wires in a ¼” wide groove.

    The entire loop including the lead-in fits within a 3/16” saw-cut groove preventing wasted time spent double saw-cutting or doubling blades to cut the home run lead-in.

    Do I have to cut a perfect sized pattern to use your loop?

    Not at all! As long as you don’t make the saw pattern larger than the loop size (you can never make a preformed loop any larger) our loop will fit every time. We designed our Saw-Cut loops to be able to take up excess loop in the lead-in run, which makes the loop smaller. 

    This is accomplished by laying the loop parallel in the lead-in run up to 2ft (which shortens the overall perimeter of the loop by up to 4ft).

  • Our Direct Burial loops are build with Solid 16AWG to create a tough rigid product that won’t fall below the rebar pattern. Installing a BD Loops Direct Burial loop over rebar is a snap! Simply offset the loop from the rebar pattern and tie it down with the supplied cable ties.

    The loop wire has arrows indicating the direction of current and lead-in is red/black allowing easy understanding of phasing.

    Twisted jacketed lead-in prevents “coil back” from normal twisted lead-in, preventing wasted time untangling lead-in wires.

    Each direct burial loop comes with an installation kit including easy to follow instructions, cable ties for installation on top of rebar, ground stakes for laying out the loop in gravel and dirt roads (remove ground stakes before burying loop), and stickers for easy identification after the loops have been installed.

  • BD Loop Goop is a tough and durable polyurethane resin sealant designed to encapsulate, protect and insulate inductance loops for door, gate, and parking applications. Effectively seals out moisture and provides exceptional chemical resistance to de-icing salts, antifreeze, gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic brake fluid and other hydrocarbons. BD Loop Goop remains strong, flexible and resilient in cold weather. It provides superior adhesion to wires and saw cuts in concrete and asphalt. Application does not require mixing or heating. Permits vehicular traffic immediately after application (see for installation tips) with no need for lane closure. DOT APPROVED by most States.

  • BD-LG2 is a two component polyurethane, detector loop sealant. It is designed for use in both asphalt and concrete pavement to provide a weather and chemical resistant waterproof seal. BD-LG2 effectively seals out moisture and provides a tough and durable seal. Permits vehicular traffic immediately after application (see for installation tips) with no need for lane closure.

    BD-LG2 is designed for sealing loops in cold or freezing temperatures. BD-LG2 Detector Loop Sealant exhibits Exceptional chemical resistance to de-icing salts (including 50% by weight potassium acetate), gasoline, hydraulic brake fluid and motor oil. BD-LG2 requires no clean up since the mixing tips are disposable.

    BD-LG2 is primarily used as a fast cure, protective seal for inductance loops. It may be used as a sealant for saw cuts in concrete and asphalt surfaces.

    Superior Features
    BD-LG2 has no reaction with the asphalt and concrete and therefore will not deteriorate them. It exhibits no "bubbling" or "mushrooming". BD-LG2 will not expand or flow above the joint.

    It is always better to purchase 1 extra cartridge of
    BD-LG2 than to run out of Loop Goop on a jobsite and have to run back to your distributor.

    Using a 3/16" wide blade over 1/4" blades will save you 25% in loop sealant.

  • Megohmmeters are the only meter than can test for the most common loop issue - a nick in the insulation causing the loop to short to ground. This is why they are referred to as "Insulation Testers".

    This analog megohmmeter gives installers more information than the more common light up megohmmeters. The pin will point to the megohm reading - giving you a number you can track and monitor to determine if the loop is shorting to ground.
