  • Okatsune Secateurs
Okatsune secateurs are the industry standard in Japan: sharp and strong, a simple design with a unique locking mechanism that never unintentionally engages. They won the Peoples Choice Award for Best New Product at 2018 CanWest Horticultural Expo.

  • These secateurs are the industry standard in Japan - they're extremely sharp and strong, and make clean cuts with a satisfying 'chunking' sound.

The locking mechanism (the clasp at the bottom of the handles) is very deliberate and easy to use, even with gloves on. The lock never accidentally engages like it did on my other secateurs - which drove me crazy! I only use the Okatsune now.

Red and white handles make them easy to find if you put them down in the garden. Three sizes to choose from: small, standard, and large. Small is perfect for women with small hands, large for big hands, standard for the rest of us. Design works for lefties and righties.

Winner of the Peoples Choice Award for Best New Product at the 2018 CanWest Horticultural Expo.

  • Niwaki Double Holster
A double holster allows you to keep your basic and most-used tools close to hand and out of the compost heap. Thick, tough leather, softens and develops a lovely patina with age and dirt....

  • A favourite and extremely useful gardening accessory that helps you to keep your most needed tools close to hand and out of the compost heap. Simplifies the tool belt and prevents holes-in-pockets from carrying your hand tools in your jacket or jeans pockets.

For winter pruning work, use it to carry secateurs and a folding pruning saw. For spring and summer bed work, switch out the folding pruning saw for a hori hori (an excellent multi-purpose tool) to go along with your secateurs. The back pocket is big enough to also fit a pair of snips.

Hand sewn from hardwearing 3.5mm leather.
